ISLAMABAD: Senate opposition leader Aitzaz Ahsan said that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has been a great army chief and his services will always be remembered, a private television channel reported on Thursday.
Aitzaz said that the COAS will be remembered for his services and for the fact that he did not ask for his tenure to be extended.
“Not a single general, in the world right now, fought such a long war and remained with his soldiers, picking up bodies of the martyrs. He raised his army’s morale,” Aitzaz said, talking to the media in Islamabad.
